Chateau Lilian Ladouys 2011, Cru Bourgeois, Saint Estephe

Slottets topvin er modnet i gennemsnit i 15 måneder på deres fantastiske fadlager (40-60% ny eg afhængig af årgangen). Cabernet Sauvignon og Merlot udgør størstedelen af blandingen, med proportionerne variere fra år til år. Der suppleres af og til med Petit Verdot og Cabernet Franc. Slottets vine gennemgår vinificering i tyngdekontroleret beholdere med et tyngdekraftsbaseret system, der er mere følsomt over for druerne og vinens integritet og subtilitet.

Duft og smagsnoter: En dyb farve og en frugtagtig kirsebær næse med krydderier som kanel og cigar kasse. I munden afsløres generøse  noter af chokolade og krydrerier med en god friskhed. Tanninerne er bløde og smidige. Absolut en elegant vin.

Best Buy While the wood is still very apparent in this wine, it does also have the rich fruit as a balance. The acidity, dark berry fruits and a fine juicy character go with the firm tannins and spicy wood character. Drink from 2017.

This is generous and forward for a St.-Estèphe, with plum and kirsch notes lined with hints of blood orange and red licorice. Shows a juicy feel through the finish, balanced by honest grip. A modern rendition that maintains a tug of terroir. Drink now through 2019.
